Safe and sound

This morning I had a chance to listen to some Christian television or
JESUS TV, as I like to call it. While tending to my daily duties it's good sometimes to just turn it on and hear a good Word and inspiring testimonies.

One of the scriptures shared today,
James 1:4
But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
It was given in relation to waiting for something you're trusting God for. We must be patient. After all, patience is included in the characteristics of the fruit of the Spirit. He's given it to us, we have to utilize it! Yes I know, it's not always easy but if you'll let HIM, He'll help you.

How do I know? Well, when I started on my journey to pick up my son, I was coasting along when suddenly, an accident scene was ahead. So of course there was a bit of traffic--waiting. After that cleared, the emergency vehicles were en route so of course, I pull aside. (Please pull aside fellow drivers. The people in need of help are important.)
I then returned to my route at the posted speed of 50 mph until I turned onto a two lane road and the cars ahead were barely moving. What's the hold up, one might say! 30 mph in a 50 mph!! But oh no, a soft quiet reminder says, "let patience have her perfect work". Be patient, I say.
And with that, I sit back and coast along at a much slower pace, knowing that as God is patient with me, I too must choose to do the same. My willingness to be patient saved me from frustration and  my slower pace could have been saving me from unknown circumstances up ahead. After all, I did arrive at my destination, perfect and entire or safe and sound, as we usually say.

Unexpected things can happen along your journey. Know that you don't have to stress and go it alone. As you navigate through this week, I pray that you utilize the gift of patience in whatever you experience and let HIM wisely guide you along the way.

Inspired Strength

Greetings!

Words from a Mother's Inspired Living is the subtitle of this blog and my days are certainly inspired. It is often commented by others that they "don't know how I do it". Do what, you may ask?  Manage to care for 6 blessings and all of life's other duties without falling to pieces. Only one way- with Jesus Christ. There is a song that I love that says "Someway, somehow we're going to make it. With Jesus on our side, things will work out fine." From the Word,
Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."
I don't do it alone. Praise God for the help and strength He provides. If you feel overwhelmed by your daily responsibilities, go to the Lord. He is waiting to be of help to you if you'll just trust and follow HIM. Put your hope in HIM, he'll give you a peace that surpasses all understanding and strength you never knew you had :)

SPRING IN THE SON

Spring has definitely sprung around here and I absolutely love it!

Every season is my favorite, because quite frankly, everyday is a blessing from the Lord. But spring has so much to love about it, I can’t help but be excited! Bulbs and perennials are emerging from the soil, new buds are forming on the trees and the harmonious sound of chirping birds fills the air.

Straight from the Word, ” God blesses those who are poor in spirit and realize their need for Him “ - Matthew 5:3

As Joyce Meyer put it, “ Your worst day with God, is way better than your best day without Him ever was.” There is nothing I can add to that but Amen.

God brightens each and every day, whether the sun shines brightly on the outside or not. HE is the sunshine that beams on the inside of HIS children, bringing forth new life from our minds, bodies and souls, allowing us to bear fruit for HIM.

A Mighty Power

As a believer in Christ Jesus as my Lord and Savior, there is a mighty power living on the inside of me. The great thing about that power is that it isn’t just placed there by God for my own benefit. Yes, He gives me the strength to do all things and He is there to guide me and comfort me, but greatest of all He shows me when someone else is in need of those very same things. He allows me to share the compassion and love of Christ with others. For that I am very thankful.
Acts 1:8(NLT) says,

8But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

There is no greater love, no greater friend than Christ Jesus himself and with HIM on the inside of me, I confidently know that all things are possible. The Holy Spirit enables us to be a witness for Christ and to tell others about HIM. The Lord has done and continues to do so much for me each day, that I can’t help but share with someone else that He will do the same for all who believe in HIM.

To Cheer You

Hearts abound everywhere as we celebrate this Happy Valentine's Day!  I love making crafts with my children and preparing treats to make the day special.  It's also great to have a holiday to focus on love and share it with others. But, wait. We as believers are commanded by Jesus Christ to have love as our focus in our daily lives, not just once a year.
Proverbs 17:22 says, "A cheerful heart is good medicine."   What can you give someone today to give them a cheerful heart? Offer a smile, give a compliment. Let someone know how much you appreciate them or are thinking of them. There are so many things one can do, that just take a little thought. Giving someone else a cheerful heart could be just the thing you need to cheer your own.
Today is wonderful opportunity to share the love of Christ. After all, He showed us the greatest love when He sacrificed His own life to save ours. Happy Valentine's Day to all :)

New

Its hard to believe that it's 2012 and the first month is nearly complete. So since I haven't already said it here...HAPPY NEW YEAR! I do hope that this month has brought you a fresh start or new beginning of some sort. Remember that everyday is a chance to begin anew. God blesses His children each day with new mercies.
This new year brings with it the opportunity to do new things or maybe just the chance to do them in a new way. There are a few things I'd like to try my hand at and accomplish this year. I'll see how it all unfolds but I know for certain, whatever we aspire to do Proverbs 16:3 says "Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed."
I am thankful to God for His Word and the hope we can have in Him.

SHARE THE GIFT

"And she shall bring forth a son,
and thou shalt call his name JESUS:
for he will save his people from their sins."
MATTHEW 1:21

I spent some time this afternoon with this verse of scripture. It's a wonderful blessing to be able to share the love of JESUS CHRIST with others, for there is no greater gift than Him. HE is the gift that will last forever! As CHRISTmas draws near and we prepare to share our gifts and homes with friends and family, my hope is that the love, joy and peace that JESUS gives shines brightly.  Through the hustle and bustle of each day, may we His sheep, shine as a light for Him and share His love with those who may not know Him or those who are simply hurting and in need of His saving power. May we all remember that HE is 'The Reason for the Season'!
